This 1965 Impala restomod combines classic Pro Street styling with serious modern performance. What began as chassis work at Griffin Automotive Design became a complete restoration after previous body and sheet metal issues were uncovered.
A 540ci big-block built by Bullock Race Engines produces 837 horsepower. Griffin boxed and narrowed the original frame, fabricated a custom 9-inch rear end, and built a four-link rear suspension with a Watts link. Strange adjustable coilovers and Wilwood brakes complete the chassis setup.
Finished in Axalta Viper Red, the Impala sits on massive Weld wheels and Mickey Thompson tires for its unmistakable Pro Street stance. Inside, custom leather and Alcantara, Dakota Digital gauges, Vintage Air, a six-point rollcage, and a custom audio system complete the build.
The result is a powerful, highly detailed Impala that delivers the aggressive look John wanted with the performance and craftsmanship to match.
