1966 Jeep Gladiator
This 1966 Jeep Gladiator is currently undergoing a full custom build at Griffin Automotive Design. The finished truck will combine the unmistakable character of the early Gladiator with a completely modernized chassis and drivetrain.
LAP 6.6L Power
Power will come from an LAP 6.6L engine, giving the Gladiator a substantial upgrade over its original powertrain. The engine will be paired with a 4050 5-speed transmission, keeping the truck engaging to drive while providing the strength needed for the new drivetrain.
Roadster Shop Chassis
Underneath, the Gladiator will ride on a Roadster Shop chassis. The new chassis will provide the foundation for the entire build while bringing modern suspension, handling, and road manners to the classic Jeep platform.
The project is still in progress, with additional fabrication, bodywork, finishes, and details to come as the build develops.
