1967 Ford Mustang – Full Custom Rebuild
Mark’s 1967 Ford Mustang is undergoing a complete transformation at Griffin Automotive Design. We are rebuilding the car from the ground up with a focus on modern performance, reliability, and drivability.
The project starts with a Roadster Shop chassis, which will replace the Mustang’s original underpinnings. This modern foundation will completely change how the car handles and performs on the road.
Under the hood, the Mustang will receive a 5.0L Ford Coyote V8. The modern powerplant will bring a major increase in performance while keeping the build true to its Ford roots.
Before everything comes together, the body requires extensive structural and metalwork. We are replacing the entire floor pan, trunk floor, firewall, quarter panels, and other major sheet metal. This gives us a solid foundation for the next stages of the build.
With a new chassis, fresh sheet metal, and Coyote power, very little underneath this Mustang will remain untouched. However, the finished car will still retain the unmistakable character that makes the 1967 Mustang such an iconic design.
This is only the beginning of Mark’s Mustang build, with plenty more custom work still to come.
